A former session singer who has worked with some famous names, Elvan makes ambient pop music that plays with unexpected sounds and styles. Musical influences over the years have been broad and include "lots of different sounds. Portishead, Massive Attack, the Beatles, Kate Bush, and prog rock like Jethro Tull - I love Ian Anderson. I love sixties bands like Cream, Deep Purple and The Doors, and music with elements of classical and jazz. Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Pearl Jam and Green Day are always blasting in my car. I've also been heavily influenced by world music, and you can hear that in my music. Film scores too - Morricone was brilliant."
