Jaigo is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He was born in Alexandria, La and reared in various cities throughout central and southern Louisiana. His interest in music started at the age of 8, when he began to write and record songs with his friends after school. When he was 11, he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he became interested in arranging and producing his own music as well. Drawing much inspiration from several of the prominent producers in the south, Jaigo established his own sound as both an artist and producer. By the age of 16, he recorded a mixtape that was quietly shelved due to its lack of audio quality. Jaigo would spend the next 5 years perfecting his craft, not seeing a single release in the meantime. In 2012, Jaigo released his first single titled "Nevermind Me", which featured fellow Louisiana native JusDon, whom he had met while attending college at Southern University. The following year, he moved to New York City to study music at New York University and released his second single "Winning Season/I'm the Reason Interlude." In late 2013, he announced the release of his first independently distributed EP Anywhere, Everywhere, which was slated to be released in late 2014. The announcement was followed by the subsequent release of two positively received singles "Sway" and "Hello World", however, the EP would not be released that year. In 2015, Anywhere, Everywhere was released in fall of 2015 as a full length album.
