Faster Than Bears is a Calgary based live band, that offers an original musical style rooted in hip-hop, that also incorporates influences ranging from Soul and Funk to Rock. This stylistic mix is unique and represents a bold musical statement. This is possible as all the members come from diverse musical backgrounds that fuse together in form of "Faster Than Bears". The project is newly formed and aims to create an alternative sound to your existing generic band - instead we offer more of a musical experience, that encourages both dancing and deep listening. Sampled vocals and effects, freestyle drum beats, energy driven guitar solos, solid bass lines, dynamic vocals and the quest for originality all contribute to the fresh sound identity/character of Faster Than Bears.
