SevenQRTRS is a hip-hop beat poet of the modern day. Traveling from town to town in a beat-up hatch back with a microphone and a USB full of beats, haunting the cypher with his looming presence. Inspired equally by novelists, poets and directors such as Hunter S Thompson, Sylvia Plath and David Lynch as he is by Hip Hop lyricists and beatmakers such as MF DOOM, El-P, Edan and Slick Rick. Seven started writing, recording and crafting the beats for his own songs around 2012 but wouldn't begin seriously crafting his own sound until 2019 with his Kuroneko EP. This EP came from the ashes of a since taken down 18 track album called "Hypothetical Situations" and another 18 track album that never saw the light of day called "Static Television" which was sent to the shadow realm due to a computer crash losing all the beats and most of the finished tracks that were on the album. The next big steps for Seven was the release of his 2020 album Nightmare Land which dealt with personal themes such as the loss of loved ones due to drug-overdose and suicide, the difficulty of overcoming writers block and leaving the hometown that birthed you but is equally draining your lifeforce. QRTRS has had the pleasure of traveling up and down the east coast opening up for incredible, forward thinking artists like Homeboy Sandman and Carnage The Executioner. June 9th he releases his new album "The Road Leads to Nowhere" everywhere that music is heard. The Static Television is ON.
