"Lush without being pompous, subtle without being obtuse and really rather lovely" - The Guardian John Garrison first experienced success with his band Budapest debut, 'Too Blind To Hear' released on Republic Records, gaining a Top 10 Hit in Spain. His first solo release "Above the Cosmos" won critical acclaim and support from over 300 US college radio stations, the track “Never Far From Me” established a new audience in Europe after first lady of France Carla Bruni featured it repeatedly on her radio show. Songs from the follow-up "Departures" were regularly featured on US TV shows with over 40 major syncs to date. Garrison ventured into new musical territories with his next project SATELLITES, with legendary retailers Rough Trade awarding SATELLITES.02 album of the month upon it’s release Garrison has become a much in demand studio musician, playing on tracks by Ed Sheeran, Christine Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Sting, Josh Groban & James Blunt to name a few. John recently recorded the Bass Guitar on the world wide No.1 single ‘Forget Me’ by Lewis Capaldi. During the recent pandemic lockdown, John started a new musical project with his partner Pernille Andersen. They formed GlassEar and released their debut 6-track EP ‘Nobody Will Get Out Alive” in October 2023. John’s influences are broad and varied from Scott Walker, Talk Talk & Prince to Radiohead, The The & Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
