This five-member group traces its lineage back to city pop, AOR, and urban soul, yet crosses genres without borders, weaving anthemic music of the 2021 Japanese era. Their one-of-a-kind sound intertwines the message of frontman Hiroshi Kaifu with the swell of soul and R&B-derived grooves they have cultivated as a live band, inspiring listeners to lean in and talk to each other. The band was formed in 1998 in Nagoya by high school classmates Kaifu (Vo), Imi (Gt), and Kobayashi (Ba), and later Ohno (Dr) and Shimazaki (Key) joined the band to start their activities. At the time, the band performed more than 100 live shows a year in various parts of Japan. The band became a core part of the indie scene as a live band, but went on hiatus after their last live performance in 2009. On March 20, 2022, more than 10 years later, they resumed their activities with a two-man live show with G-FREAK FACTORY, which was held after the closing of their home ground, Apollo Base in Nagoya, Japan. They announced the resumption of their activities. On June 20, 2023, Atsushi Shimazaki left the band (keyboard), and Yuki Hanabusa joined as a new support keyboardist. シティポップ、AOR、アーバンソウルの系譜を辿りながらもボーダレスにジャンルを横断する、令和のアンセムミュージックを織りなす５人組。フロントマン海部洋が綴るメッセージと、ライブバンドとして培ったソウル・R&B由来のうねりを伴なったグルーヴとが絡み合った唯一無二のサウンドは、聴く者を鼓舞しながらも寄り添い語りかける。 2023年2月から９つの楽曲を９ヶ月に渡り連続リリースする企画”9 Chants”を行い「ESCAPE」「雨の夜と桃源郷」「ニュータウン」「午前０時の終電を見送って」「情熱の果実」「RePULGGED」「薄暮の帰り道」「Moon River」「光の影」をリリースした。
