Jax$tax is a 26 yr old, Atlanta based artist and producer who blends elements of various styles and genres into Alt/Rock/Rap & Hip Hop. Blissed-out bops like “Shell Shock” see $tax delving deep into a broad spectrum of eclectic influences, deconstructing cloud rap and euphoric psychedelia into something completely new and unique. His new 'beach tape', "Beats From Layoa" features 28 tropical inspired instrumentals, laying the perfect backdrop to your time spent under the sun⛱ Jackson's interest in music began at a very early age, listening to his CD player everyday on the elementary school bus. At age 15, he started learning how to play different instruments and to write/record songs. By 18 he had collaborated with many artists & friends, releasing tons of music onto Soundcloud and Youtube. It was 2016 by this point and Soundcloud was at its peak at that time, offering the perfect place for his music to be shared. He also practiced performing at a venue called Swayze's and did open mics around Atlanta. Focused on his craft, he moved and continued at the Atlanta institute of Music - where he studied audio engineering, giving him a new place to network and grow . Through collaborating, sampling old vinyl and media, playing instruments, making beats, and writing/singing songs, $tax has resonated with fans from all over.
