Tjaka is a trailblazing music trio, comprising two Fabila brothers, Geoff and Jake, and close friend Felix Fogarty. The name "Tjaka" is derived from "Tjakamarra", the skin name given to the Fabilas, who are proud descendants of the Jabirr Jabirr tribe in the Western Australia Kimberley. Tjaka's music is a fusion of electronic and hip-hop, blended with Aboriginal ancestral influences to create a unique and original sound. Their vision is to create music that mixes traditional Indigenous storytelling and sounds with contemporary production, showcasing the connection between the old and the new. Their high-energy bangers introduce the use of the Didjeribone (a slide didjeridoo, similar to a trombone), electronic beats, and lava-hot rap flow which melt audiences in a crucible of funk, reggae, and dance.
