Prodiiiiiii is a hip hop artist from South Africa. The rapper specialises in the Hip Hop sub-genre called Motswako made popular by the likes of the late @HHP & @Khuli Chana. Prodiiiiiii's themes are centered around the state of township economics from a perspective of a young black man in his twenties. Prodiiiiiii started his rap performance career busking inside trains in 2015 where he formed his two man band with Thabiso Thabethe called TOES Band. They went on to perform at festivals like Fete De La Musique (2015 & 2016) and We Are One Music Festival (2018). In 2019 he chose to grow his solo career in a move that saw him performing at 3 festivals, My African Wonderland, Homecoming Africa & Smoking Dragon Festival. Homecoming Events named him and 4 others as Artists on The Rise in the same year. Ready to finally put his name on an EP title, Prodiiiiiii enlisted the services of his longtime collaborator Thabiso Thabethe to produce it. It was in June of 2021 that the musician began work on what would be known as Sgandi JO! The EP is 4 songs deep and was released on the 21st of june. Thabisio Thabethe brought onto the project a sonic collage borrowing from modern pop styles to more alternative urban sounds. This project has a good urban and pop appeal.
