Shane Allen Beaufait Jr., professionally known as Kambion is an American musician, record producer, and songwriter. Coming from a musical upbringing, Kambion has been passionate about music and art his whole life. His father himself was an emcee and producer who helped him get into writing lyrics and producing at a very young age. He started writing lyrics and dabbling in music and art as a form of escapism and therapy. He discovered Kid Cudi early on, who later became a notable influence on his creative process and one of his earliest influences. Before he knew it Kambion found himself swept up into the Soundcloud scene. Picking up the likes of XXXTENTACION, Lil Peep, Comethazine, and many others. He had acquired a diverse number of artists he’d listen to, but it was not until around freshmen year of highschool he really started broadening his music taste picking up emo, punk, and metal influences that he developed his unique sound. Citing bands such as blink-182, Deftones, Taking Back Sunday, Silverstein, and Hawthorne Heights as some of his early inspirations. Recording in his room and learning the ins and outs of the process, Kambion would release his first few singles in 2017. Shortly after he began performing in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Now, at 19 years-old, he has several singles under his belt. Consistently experimenting and covering new territory, Kambion is constantly evolving his craft and aiming to improve.
