Formed in 2015, the MOIO band was born from the affinity and the desire for free musical experimentation where the individual experiences of each member could be explored. Rooted black music language in general, the group has in its repertoire their own compositions, instrumental themes that move through funk, hip hop, jazz, soul and choro. In April 2017, during the events of the International Jazz Day, they released their first EP with 3 original songs recorded in Porto Alegre. Formada em 2015, a banda Moio nasceu da afinidade e a vontade de experimentação musical livre onde a bagagem individual de cada integrante pudesse ser explorada. Baseado na linguagem da música negra de maneira geral o grupo tem em seu repertório temas instrumentais, em sua maioria autorais, que transitam entre o funk, hip hop, jazz, soul e choro. Em abril de 2017, durante as programações do International Jazz Day, lançam o primeiro EP com 3 músicas próprias gravadas em Porto Alegre.
