While finding their start in New York in 2017, the band is currently based in Philadelphia after a move in 2020 for university. Here, they embraced a fresh start with an eventual new lineup. Performing locally for the first time in 2 years since their move, the Spring of 2022 marked a new era for the band, and they have been playing various house shows ever since. While initially gigging with old songs off their previous EPs and their 2021 album release entitled Oh No, I'll Just Go, Cheap 52 has been playing and building up an arsenal of fresh tunes to be released in the coming months.
