"Regarding your former way of life, take off your false self, which was corrupted & be made new in your mind. Put on your true self, created just like God in true righteousness" (Eph 4:22). I've been writing music & making records since I was a teen. As a woman in her 30s, I now know life is a constant evolution. True self is the culmination of identity revelation & an ever healing belief system. As children of God, we're meant to go from "Glory to Glory" (2 Cor 3:18), in every area of our lives. The Gospel mission is to get delivered from the spirit of religion, to expose the false self & all pharisaical, behavior modification beliefs & live in the light of our truest, beloved selves, which is "Christ in us" (Col 1:27). Out of the overflow of true identity, we share the ridiculously, too good to be true GOSPEL, that leads people to spirit, soul, body transformation (Rom 2:4). What Jesus did completely put to death our false, fallen nature. We are not what we do. We are who He says we are now. That is the spiritual reality. What we manifest in behavior, is the fruit of how completely we're allowing Holy Spirit to dominate our thinking & lead us to "truth that sets us free" & reveals our truest selves in Christ. I believe this is the spiritual cure for self hatred, addictions, internal & generational brokenness. This is the journey that we're on as believers. There is infinitely more in Christ. Heaven now. Internal Eden. All of this, Jesus already paid for. - d
