Biography

Lektikos Epexergastis, also known as Lektikos, was a Greek rapper who made a significant impact on the Greek hip-hop scene during the early 2000s. He was born in 1970 and began his music career in the mid-1990s, but it was not until the early 2000s that he rose to prominence. Lektikos was known for his innovative style that incorporated elements of gangsta rap and club bangers. He released four albums during his lifetime: Syndrom, "Lektikos Project," "24/7," and "Plan B.” Unfortunately, Lektikos passed away on April 22, 2011, leaving a void in the Greek hip-hop community. However, his music continues to be appreciated by fans who remember him for his contributions to the genre. In addition to his music career, Lektikos was also a talented martial arts athlete and a highly respected tattoo artist. He founded Barcode Tattoo, a popular tattoo studio located in Athens that helped to promote the art of tattooing in Greece. Lektikos was also the founder of Barcode Entertainment, a music collective of prominent and rising Greek hip-hop artists. Through this collective, Lektikos helped to further promote and support the Greek hip-hop scene. Lektikos' legacy continues to this day through his son, Rack, who has become a highly successful rapper in his own right and has achieved multi-platinum status. The BCC gang also continues to influence and inspire the Greek hip-hop community, keeping Lektikos' vision and legacy alive.
