Jan Domènech Vayreda is a pianist and composer from Barcelona, studied performance at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu. He studied two master's degree, one at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), and the other at the Royal Conservatory The Hague (Netherlands). He has received a scholarship from the AIE for several years. He has been taught by musicians such as Alan Pasqua, Bob Mintzer, Albert Bover, Marco Mezquida, Rob van Bavel, Ignasi Terraza, Wolfert Brederode or Jozef Dumoulin. He has been part of projects such as: Sant Andreu Jazz Band, La Magia de la veu, Rik Mol’s Aspire Band, George Poevey Ensemble, Íñigo Peña Quintet or Gran Ensemble of the Liceu and he coleads a duo with the singer Paula Barranco. He has participated in the recording of more than 15 albums and shared international stages with musicians such as Scott Robinson, Dick Oatts, Scott Hamilton, Joel Frahm, Luigi Grasso, Perico Sambeat, Yo-Yo Ma and Joe Magnarelli.
