There’s a crispness to her, sensitivity, and barely concealed melancholy. After years of stretching the limits of folk music, now she’s sailing the high seas of ‘indie’ folk rock. Claire days is Claire’s singular songwriting adventure in which her guitar and voice blend together in an ascent towards emotion. On stage, her music is inlaid with a bass, drums and keyboards, music drawn forth by Feist’s zestful rock and the organic touch of Rozi Plain and This is the Kit. Following two noteworthy EPs, Claire is now co-producing an album with English musician Fink. Part way through, she made a two-week stopover at a chalet to record 3 tracks in utter independence. Three creatures sprang up from the earth like siren songs, 3 creatures of sound suffused with the colours of the rain, the crackle of fire and the sound of strings under her fingers.
