Biography

Luke Markinson is an American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Markinson began posting on the app Vine. In posting unique covers and heartfelt original songs, Luke gained a large following. In 2020, he released his debut single Never Alone which was featured on Charli XCX's official Beats by Dr. Dre playlist. He then released Out the Bed which was named "Best Track of the Week" by NYLON Mag. Markinson has multiple songwriting credits under his belt with songs such as My Heart Bleeds which has millions of streams. The singer released the track Dead of Night with Rony Rex in 2021. The song became an international success, going #1 on the house charts in Finland. Later that year Luke began collaborating with fellow hyperpop artist Glitch Gum on tracks We Matter and Extrovert. In 2023, his songs miss u on my phone and Study Abroad were played on KISS FM radio in the US. Following the release of his dance-pop track Hit and Run Luke opened up for American rapper, Flo Milli. The 23-year-old artist credits Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, Kim Petras, the 1975, and underground gay club music for inspiring his futuristic, glitchy sound. His work has been featured in prominent music publications, including Pop Crave, NYLON, St. Louis Magazine, Grindr, the Harvard Crimson, DUMMY, RAIN, Ringtone Mag, and A1234 who said: "Luke has the capability to produce some of the best work this genre will ever see".
