Samuel "Sam Goodie" Brown Sr, a producer and engineer, was born in the early eighties in the Pittsburgh, Pa area. Developing a strong fondness for music at an early age, Sam Goodie used to sit directly in front of the speakers while elder family members would play albums from Sade to Parliament Funkadelic, from The Isley Brothers to Isaac Hayes, from James Brown to Luther Vandross and so on and so on. Then he would go on to fall head over heals in love with Hip-Hop and everything associated with it such as the lyrics, the DJ'ing, the beats, the graffiti and break dancing, all of it. Growing up in the Morgan Housing Projects in Allegheny County allowed him to experience first hand the early development of a culture that would make an impact on him the rest of his life.
