Shimei is a singer-songwriter from Manila, Philippines under Wave Studios. Focuses on contemporary r&b and soul with the influences of H.E.R., UMI, and Ella Mai. She started from doing song covers in 2019, where she was noticed by Alisson Shore and Colt for covering “Urong; Sulong” and “Retrograde”. And in 2021, Colt (founder of Wave Studios) encouraged her to write own compositions and become a part of the team. She was first featured on “Missed Calls” by Colt and Wave Studios’ all-star track “Sa.Uli”.
