Alex Blue is a folk artist and singer-songwriter whose viral videos propelled her to success at a young age. For over a decade, she has written, produced, and performed songs that have resonated worldwide, setting skillful and transparent lyricism to warm and comforting melodies. She has been compared to Shawn Colvin, Janis Ian, Jewel, and Alison Krauss. Alex is a queer mother, a Mestiza Jew, and a transparent storyteller with an alphabet soup of diagnoses, a really good therapist, and a passion for advocacy and equity. She likes Rachel Weisz movies, video games, and making tortillas that puff. Thirteen years into her career, she is known as, “Just an old married lady now, but still a joy to watch.” She crowd-funded her upcoming record 'Kin' on Kickstarter and recorded it in Nashville with an all-women band, and with almost all women audio engineers and producers.
