Originally from Florida, this rapper is inspired by life and its small details. He uses his talent as an outlet to spill out the raw truth, and always keeps it transparent in his music. In his downtime, you can find him listening to some of his favorite artists such as the lovely Ms. Jill Scott, Sade, the Isley Brothers, J.cole, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar to name a few. 9 years ago at the age of 14, Denzel Samiento, also known as Pilot Perc or Pip, created his very first record. A remix to Kanye and Jay-Z’s song ”N*ggas in Paris”. Upon the decision to take his talent to the next level, Perc undoubtedly put in the work and released several projects, 7 in total. Including On Repeat, This Week’s EP 1&2, 2 Myself, No Visuals, and his latest Ying Yang 1 & 2 with fellow TGB member Al Feury. Perc describes the sound of his music as universal, not subjecting himself to a specific category except for three words “Feel good music”. His recent project “PIP,” takes listeners on a journey through the artist’s mind, his internal battle of becoming a man, a new father, and his doubts about pursuing music full time.
