Soyoung Lee has won many competitions in America such as The Flute Talk Magazine Competition and the New York Flute Club Competition. She performed as a soloist at the Christmas and the New Year’s Concert in Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Centre under the direction of legendary Alexander Schneider in 1989. Appointed principal flute of the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra since 1992, one of the leading Philharmonic in Korea, Soyoung Lee has been a leading flutist of the nation, giving many concerts and broadcastings in Seoul, recording for several labels and teaching worldwide, mainly in Japan, China, France and Spain.
