Garden of Roses was created in tribute to my daughter, Malijha. This album illustrates the pain and the glory of overcoming tragedy. A rose symbolizes a loved one that has passed on, but like a rose, you can still smell the sweetness of past memories. 
 In 2015 my one year old daughter, Malijha, was killed in a drive by shooting. It took everything out of me. Three months later, I was incarcerated and was away from my family, alone. Struggling to process the fact I would never see my daughter again, having to look her mother in her eyes and tell her sorry every time she cries and tell my son every day that his sister is in a better place. During this dark period I lost drive for the music but after all this time I realized it is the only way I can tell her story.
