Joli Noir (formerly Prettyblack/PrettyblackMusic) is a Virginia native, born and raised in Portsmouth,VA. She has possessed a love for music since she was 8 years old, which is when she began writing her own original songs. Since changing her name to “Joli Noir”, Joli has felt a sense of evolution and has grown tremendously as an artist. Joli enjoys using her R&B influenced hooks to accompany her smooth rhymes , however on some occasions, she uses her bold, yet inviting tone on more up-tempo production , in order to deliver fun and/or bar heavy records. Ms.Noir has been eager to release a project that truly reflects her versatility as an artist and after her newest EP release “Since You’re Here”, Joli is confident anyone listening, will be able to paint their own picture from the lyrics they hear... as long as they listen.
