Boston-based guitarist and composer Ron Bosse has significantly impacted the jazz scene, collaborating with renowned artists including Dave Liebman, Bob Mintzer, Jeff Lorber, Norman Brown, Gary Novak, MonoNeon, Hadrien Feraud, Jimmy Haslip, Sonny Emory, Bob Reynolds, Mike Stern, George Garzone, and Jerry Bergonzi. His work has garnered acclaim from prestigious publications such as Jazz Times, Downbeat, and the New York Times. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Ron was honored as "Outstanding Guitarist" by Guitar Player Magazine in 1994, described as “a master in the making.” In 1997, he founded the jazz quintet Pursuance, releasing the critically acclaimed album Next Level, followed by Emotion & Intellect, featuring saxophonist Gary Thomas. In 2017, Ron partnered with Grammy-winning guitarist Norman Brown for a series of duet performances and instructional videos. This collaboration paved the way for his solo album, Burning Room Only, released in late 2022 with Grammy winner Jeff Lorber. In 2023, he unveiled BRO 2.0 - The Afterburners, featuring drummer Lil’ John Roberts and trumpeter Randy Brecker. Ron has also released live performances with Lorber and Brown throughout 2023-24, showcasing his dynamic range and commitment to jazz. With a career that seamlessly blends innovation and tradition, Ron Bosse continues to inspire audiences and fellow musicians, solidifying his status as a pivotal figure in contemporary jazz.
