Los Angeles native with a nomadic childhood raised by the sounds of disco, funk, house, soul, jazz, and hip-hop. In 2007 Joel bought a pair of turntables and got to work on his DJing skills, being inspired early in his childhood from funk and disco grooves he immediately gravitated towards the dance music scene. Originally starting as an open format and hip hop DJ, Joel thrived in the backyard and house party domain by mixing and combining various genres of music to keep parties going all night. In 2015 and onward Joel focused his DJing and production on disco and house music, and it was then where he had the opportunities to open and share the decks with the likes of FKJ, Breakbot, Darius, Fred Falke, Classixx, Holy Ghost, Miami Horror, Dino Soccio, Adam Auburn, and many more. In July of 2020, Joel made his Toucan Sounds label debut on a two track bootleg series releasing "Power Moves" and "Bailar" Power Moves has been played and supported by the likes of Treasure Fingers, Roger Sanchez, and Mr. V. Joel is presently working on several music projects along with DJing on a nightly basis all over the L.A. area and continues to let his abilities and passions take him places.
