A founding member of the Alt/Reggae band Iration, Kai Boy was integral on the bands earlier albums including the Sample This EP and Timebomb. He toured with the band from 2005 - 2013 sharing stages with bands like Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, Rebelution, The Green, Foster the People, Atmosphere, Cypress Hill, Steel Pulse and many more. Kai Boy returned in 2023, working with producer/artist Willz Kauhane of Glory Sounds Studios out of Volcano, HI. Their first release, Forgive & Forget feat. Lopaka Rootz sat at #1 on KWXX FM for several weeks and their 2nd single, Reggae Holiday feat. Geoff Weers and The Artist Koa has been in regular rotation and the Top 5 at 5 on KCCN-FM 100 Honolulu. As a writer, Kai Boy recently co-wrote the song Music is the Remedy by Eli-Mac and Innavison that is on the Cali Roots Riddim album by Collie Buddz. The album is up for a Grammy for Reggae Album of the Year in 2024. Some exciting collabs and co-writes with other Cali/Hawaii artists are on the horizon, as well as an EP or full length album of his own. Kai Boy Music aims to spread positivity, hope and love.
