Kathrin Hottiger is a Swiss soprano. In 2022 she sang the part of Zelmira in Haydn's opera Armida as part of the Bregenz Festival. Further engagements have taken her, among other places, to Moscow, Washington D.C., Jerusalem and Leipzig, where she performed with the Thomanerchor and the Gewandhausorchester. She sang the role of Eurydice (Orphée et Eurydice) at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and the Komi Opera (RUS), Adele (Die Fledermaus) in Dornach, Fortuna/Damigella (L'incoronazione di Poppea) at Schloss Waldegg, as well as Amore (Orfeo ed Euridice), Venus (Venus and Adonis) and Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) at the Lucerne Theater. Kathrin Hottiger won 3rd prize at the 2018 Pietro Antonio Cesti International Competition for Baroque Opera and was a semi-finalist at the 2019 Neue Stimmen Competition. She has a particular fondness for Lied, and with her duo partner Edward Rushton she especially enjoys exploring French and Scandinavian repertoire.
