Born in NY (the cultures Mecca), he spent years honing his craft recording a multitude of promotional material for underground radio, in and out of groups, and putting out independent vinyl and compact disc's. Throughout his career he has shared the stage with a host of artists (such as The Cold Krush Brothers, the Krash Krew, the Furious Five, Double Trouble, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, DJ Red Alert, De la Soul, Redman, Keith Murray, Common, O.C., Organized Konfusion, and many others). In 2000, he retired from recording. In 2004 he founded and became the CEO of Something2Say Communications in junction with SR Junior Period Publishing ASCAP IPI# 527539336. He and Darren Quinlan, (combined with the turntableism of AyCE International) created the album "Community Service" released June 15, 2014. Their follow up album was "Community Development" released September 20, 2016. Samssun and fellow artist Finsta of FinstaBundy met and sometime later, an album was inevitable. "Community Awareness" was scheduled to be the final chapter in the Community trilogy. Scheduled to follow was the book Soundtrack for F.undamental A.frican C.entered T.hought (Lessons And Solutions For African People by RaMessu Meriamun).
