Aron Raams was born on May 28, 1979 in Oosterhout (NB, The Netherlands) and he grew up in a musical family. His style is deeply rooted in Blues and Rock & Roll and already at the age of six he learned the first tricks & licks by his father. While studying at the Brabants Conservatory, Aron soon was admitted in both the Dutch jazz-and popscene and he got to work with lots of established artists. In 2008 Aron released his first album, 'Unspoken', featuring Jeroen van Vliet, Eric van der Westen Thorsten Grau, Kaz Lux and Gijs Anders van Straalen. The album was nominated for the prestige Edison Audience Award 2009. In 2010 Aron became a member of the Dutch lounge formation 'Gare du Nord' of which he is musical director since 2014. Together with his brother Lennaart Raams he wrote and produced the music for the album 'Stronger!' that was released in 2015. This album too was nominated for the Edison Audience Award 2016. In 2012 he and Eric van der Westen started their acoustic duo 'A Traveller's Tale'. They recorded two albums: 'Alvin' and 'J.J.' Trumpet player Angelo Verploegen and singer Kim Hoorweg are featuring the last one. Last year Aron recorded his new album that is to be released this summer. The album is a chronicle of all the different styles he's been travelling to and fro since he first laid his hands on his guitar. The album features Dennis Kroon, Dewi Pechler, Teus Nobel, Ferry Lagendijk, Sven Happel, Gijs Anders van Straalen and Marc Schenk.
