Having been influenced by the sultry Latin sounds of South America, Raoul Zerna's musical roots can be traced back to his hometown of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Now residing in the growing dance music epicenter of Los Angeles, Zerna has become an influential producer/DJ within the dance music scene. Zerna has accumulated over 70 releases and has performed throughout North America, Europe and South America -- from the dance floors of Colombia to festivals in Spain. In his career, Zerna has shared the stage with renowned artists, such as Carl Cox, DJ Sneak, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, and DJ Keoki, amongst many others. Zerna's love for the hard and funky sounds of house and techno drove him to start his own record label, Tech-Asylum Recordings, becoming an outlet for featuring his favorite sounds. His single, "Ecuador y Todo el Mundo", was rated the number 1 tune by the legendary Carl Cox in Muzik Magazine and was also featured on various compilations including, "Future Sound of Ibiza", mixed by Tall Paul, and was licensed to Duty Free Recordings in the UK. Zerna's original production of Richard Vission's "Never Let Me Down" on System Recordings, hit number 1 on the Billboard Club Play/Dance charts for three consecutive weeks.
