With a degree in Musicology, Rinaldo Donati develops his musical research within the universe of Afro-Americans and its links with latin music. He has played the electric guitar with a number of jazz & big bands and theater groups. Since 1989 he has written and arranged the music for Rinaldo Donati NÃO, an electro-acoustic jazz-based group with latin. Donati also collaborated for several artist albums. In September 2004 his own album CASA BRASIL was published on Cool d:vision (Energy Production). Donati appeared as composer, arranger and producer. In June 2006 he produced his second album for Cool d:vision, VAGALUME - recorded in Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles and Milan and released worldwide. It contains a self-produced video played by MTV and ALL MUSIC TV networks. His third album with Energy Production, MUNDO SIMPLES (2008) - was conceived and carried out in the silence of a room... the imaginary cabin of a ghost ship.
