M.R is a Bronx rapper born to 2 Rastafarian parents. With his father being from Jamaica and mother from Harlem, he grew up listening to many different genres. “Music was life in my household, older cousins would have me perform R. Kelly at a young age”. He was later adopted and introduced to a new household of music where he learned about the Motown era and classic R&B. Some of his biggest influences include 2Pac, Jay-Z, Beanie Siegel, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Drake, Future and DMX. “My sound is “New York Gumbo”, a lil bit of everything. My words are vivid so if a listener can’t relate they can visualize it. I plan on making every rapper rap better!”
