Black Agent is: Larry Kleinke - synthesizers, sampling, drum programming, arrangements, treatments, sequencers, photographic evidence, modular experiments J Pit - vocals, propaganda, synthesizers, vocoders, structure, noise Neil Parker - guitar, bass, gear pornography, substances Black Agent began in 2016 as an EBM solo project of veteran Seattle based producer Larry Kleinke (Computer-Controlled). Following successful performances at major industrial music festivals Larry sought to expand the Black Agent sound and incorporated vocalist and producer J Pit (polygraaf discoteq, lateral tension, tronsister), and guitarist, producer, and studio god Neil Parker. "dark music for dark times." Black Agent began writing their debut EP, Acid2Body, and their forthcoming album, in the fall of 2019. Writing and recording continued through 2020; the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the fascist takeover of the American political system, and the continuing murders of innocent people at the hands of the police state. Dark times. Black Agent's sound draws heavily on 1980s industrial, revolving heavily around the influence of analog synthesizers, hardware samplers, heavy distorted guitar and vocals, and samples drawn from the apocalyptic 24hr news cycle. The trio play homage to their greatest influences on this EP with a cover of Skinny Puppy's hit song Assimilate, and Acid2Body, inspired by the Front242 EBM masterwork Body to Body
