Rip Mental is one of the founding members of Grand Rapids Michigan supergroup Self Contained Unit or SCU. SCU exploded on the scene in 2000 and hasn’t looked back since. After several releases as a Unit the individual artists all released solo projects! Rip has been a consistent fixture on the underground scene and has recently increased his musical output. Dropping 3 different projects in 2018; PCS:Post Concussion Syndrome, D.A.R.Y.L. The EP and an unofficial SCU project called Farewell to the Fort(The Fort or Fortress was the recording studio owned by Rip where all these projects were recorded. The Fort was closed when Rip relocated to Las Vegas Nevada) Next up is the follow up to D.A.R.Y.L., But You Don’t Look Like a Rapper Though!!!!!
