Multiple award-winning saxophonist and composer Klas Lindquist is the leader of this nine-piece band. Klas Lindquist Nonet was formed back in 2008 and consists of some of Sweden's best jazz musicians. The repertoire includes newly written and swinging music with influences from both early and modern jazz. The band has released three albums and performed a large number of concerts and tours. The latest album, “Alternative Source of Energy”, released in 2023, was awarded “The Jazz Album of The Year” in Orkesterjournalen readers poll.
