Nico Sidhu, born July 24 1991, in San Jose, CA grew up in the nearby town of Livermore where he harvested a deep appreciation for music through his parents taste and pop culture. He recorded Powwow Muzic with Mac King, produced by Diamond Ortiz in 2019. 2020's solo project La Huerta followed, produced by Hungerforcebeats. In 2021 Live From The Funktion was released by Nicofasho & Seattle based producer Azmito. The album was released via Outrun Records along with limited 7" vinyls of the singles Live From The Funktion featuring Jay Worthy and G Perico, and Basement Fonk featuring Reality Jonez and Vade One. Since, Nico has released multiple independent albums with Gallego, Jetdiditagain, Big Dirty and Mellomatt. He's collaborated with talents such as Modern Funk artists Moniquea, XL Middleton, B. Bravo, Sally Green, Switchvilla, Mishell Ivon & High Park Funk. He has also released songs with Bay Area Hip Hop legends such as Equipto, Mike Marshall, Black C From RBL Posse & Rydah J. Klyde. In 2022 Azmi and Nico released Avocado Trees with Chuck Inglish from the Cool Kids. He has been featured on releases from Bastard Jazz Records (B. Bravo - Stardust) Blaq Numbers ( High Park Funk - Ridin) & Solidarity Records (Nothin But Love Remix). Nico continues to create, expressing himself through a unique blend of Hip Hop and Modern Funk.
