Surya S, aka Surya Srini, is composer, music producer, and pianist. His passion for music ignited at age seven when his mother enrolled him in keyboard classes. Since then, he has excelled, earning certifications from Trinity College of London (2006-2013) and continuously honing his skills through self-study in the domain of music theory, music production and holistic creative process. Surya is a versatile musician, well-versed in classical, Carnatic, and jazz music, infusing their essence into his work. Having been in different genre bands, and cultural groups, quite open minded to create music in any genre for any more. Back in college, he clinched first place in the Mood-Indigo (Asia’s Largest) competition for two consecutive years and many many more cultural festivals in Chennai. With an impressive portfolio, Surya collaborates with renowned artists like GV Prakash, OfRo, Hari Baskar and brands like Studio Green, Shortflix, Tips Tamil, Heart2Hertz, Indie A Records, and Universal Music Group India. The short films he had scored for have gained recognition across the globe in many film festivals - Rhodes Island International Film Festival, Chicago South Asian Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival's Oscar-Qualifying category, International Film Festival of South Asia - Toronto, and many more. To your surprise he is an 8+ CGPA holder from IIT Madras who chose to create music that truly resonates with people.
