Biography

Glen White aka MR. GEE was born in the Caribbean. When he was just eight years old he moved with all his family to London. At the age of sixteen he started his singing career with the band “Heart’n’Soul”, with whom he toured Italy twice. After this he sang with the “Steve Ferrone” group. Steve Ferrone later became a drummer for Eric Clapton, Chaka Khan, The Brecker Brothers, George Benson and many more. When he turned nineteen he left for Lille in France where, for six months, he sang with the “Soul Fishers”, who took him back to Italy; shortly after that the group split up but Glen decided to stay in Italy because he signed up with a theatrical company; he sang in the musical “hair”, which took him around many Italian theatres. In this cast, amongst others, there are famous names like: Teo Teocoli, Renato Zero, Loredana Berté, Ronnie Jones, etc... Towards the end of the 70’s Glen met the producers Stefano Pulga, Luciano Ninzatti and Matteo Bonsanto and, under the stage name Kano, his first few singles were released: Another Life, Queen of Witches, It’s a War, etc. Between 1980 and 1984 they also published the albums New York Cake, Another Life, Greatest Hits. In 1999, in a club in the Rovigo area, he met Pietro Berti aka Outwork with whom he worked with for two seasons and in 2004 Pietro contacted him again to sing for him in Elektro.
