She's toured throughout the world from Kingston, Jamaica, to Beijing, China. Lilla has worked with an impressive array of artists, including Nahko and Medicine for the People, Trombone Shorty, Esperanza Spalding, Ciara, Damian & Stephen Marley, Talib Kweli, Willie Nelson, Mos Def, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Carole King and more. At the age of 6, Lilla taught herself to play the piano by ear, soon after she fell in love with gospel music. At 16 Lilla joined a socially conscious hip-hop band along with Esperanza Spalding. Their original songs pushed the boundaries of hip-hop and jazz. This young artist infuses her music with passion and soul. She generates an uplifting energy and she is active in her community. Through her music, education, environmental and charity efforts, she is committed to making a positive impact in the world.
