I am Marcus, dedicated to curating and bringing Nick Fraser's incredible collection to life. Growing up, I was surrounded by the powerful works of Nick Fraser, as my father, Mark, was not only Nick’s lifelong friend but now the custodian of his vast collection. Witnessing their deep respect for art and life inspired my passion for preserving and sharing Nick's remarkable legacy. Over the past year, I left my previous career to focus full-time on this mission. I meticulously catalogued Nick’s work, ensuring each piece is preserved with care. To enhance my skills, I completed an art curator course at the University of the Arts London (UAL). I've curated initiatives, from a pop-up exhibit at an arts and wellbeing festival to a community exhibition on St George's Day in St Albans. Now, we prepare for the most significant event: the Nick Fraser Exhibition Chapter 1 at The Crypt Gallery, the first public unveiling of his collection in over 30 years. Venturing into music, my first release is a remix of BoThai's debut track 'Nature.' My liquid drum and bass productions are influenced by my work on a documentary for the late artist Nick Fraser, set to coincide with the November exhibition. This blend of art and music allows me to explore new dimensions of creativity, bringing Nick’s legacy to life in innovative ways.
