Hailing from West Baltimore, score|swayze brings a simple, yet uncanny sound to the world with his bass-heavy production, avant-garde lyrics and a plethora of flows and styles. Along with life long friend amd rival FinagoBaby, the formerly known Akmar Shabazz founded Startier in high school including super producer Benjamin Banger and artists Kush and Yung Ble$$ed. After recording his first song over a Lil Wayne instrumental in 2008, he realized the potential of a career in music and pursued it. His debut project, Diggin In The Crates, was released in 2011 and it showed not only his lyrical prowess, but also his early skills as a new producer. After 3 projects, he decided to switch his stage name to score|swayze, his producing moniker, for a fresh start on his career. His new debut was on the group project, Triangle Offense (feat. Benjamin Banger), co-starring FinagoBaby, released in 2016. Combining his new skills as a producer and as a rapper, he released his new LP series, Love! a Documentary (Deluxe Edition) on streaming services in the same year.
