Biography

Conga Fever is the moniker of Berlin-based, many- hat-wearing Tom Hessler. He lives so many lives, he might be a cat! Tom’s a passionate full-time music man who is composing music for movies & commercials as well as producing bands from all kinds of genres, in one of his former lives he even was the singer and frontman of an indie-band himself. Electronic music used to be a nightly passion and release valve from his musical dayjob until a cheap conga loop from his DAW of choice inspired him to be called “Conga Fever”. He debuted with his first artist EP on Hamburg based Mireia Records in 2016. Three tracks, painted with bold yet nuanced strokes; especially “Arabian Guy” developed into a sleeper hit, finding its way into many DJs bags. He went on to remix Johannes Klingebiel’s slow-synth smasher "Latewood" which got much love and appeared on the Live at Robert Johnson mixes of Ata and Fort Romeau and countless other sets since. This year he returns to Mireia Records with Italo/world/weird-fest "Chihuahua", backed up with a remix by Jacob Korn (Uncanny Valley, Let's Play House).
