Elma Sambeat Spanish versatile artist. Singer, actress, composer, writer, visual artist. Formed in History of Art, singing, music and theater. She develops in a self-taught way many other arts, always trying to combine her creativity in favor of the project, even creating play’s text, music, costumes, designs, etc ... in addition to the interpretation (acting and musical). Her commitment and dedication to her artistic works is absolute, and this is one of her characteristic features. She directs La Galopante Theater and Music company, together with the actor and theater director Jorge Affranchino. As a singer she works around root music: popular, folklore, traditional or author. At the same time, her versatility allows her to dabble in early music. She also composes her own songs and the music for her theater plays if it’s needed. Her style is immersed in Mediterranean music, although her influences touch more distant traditions such as Latin America. That is why her proposals are framed in folk / worldmusic contexts, being able to adapt to both more jazzy and more traditional festivals, depending on the musicians with whom she surrounds herself.
