Tapped by Bhangra legends such as Shukshinder Shinder, Hard-E & Kami K in the early 2000s, SABITA who hails from Birmingham in England helped pioneer the sound of a generation. An R&B singer disciplined in Hindi and Punjabi since the 1980s, SABITA is the secret voice behind many of the garage-infused bhangra beats which laid the foundations for the British Asian music scene to follow. Notable credits include her feature on “Come On Girl” with Jazzy B & Hard-E as well as her international collaboration with the late Lata Mangeshkar on the UK remix of “Hum Tum Ik Kamre Mein” from the Bollywood film Bobby. Having toured the world and taking a long hiatus practising as a life coach, SABITA is making her return, currently working on an E.P expected early 2023.
