Diverze Koncept is reminiscent of the nostalgic feels of Toonami in the late '90s paired with everything you love about Trap Music. The Brooklyn native effortlessly combines Hip Hop and anime culture in a way that is authentic to those who grew up as “Weird Kids”. “It amazes me how the roles have now reversed when it comes to “alternative Black Kids”, Diverse explains, “From being ignored to now influencing the culture and even Rap in such a huge way, is definitely a plot twist.” His musical influences include A Tribe Called Quest, Childish Gambino, 2Chainz, and Big Sean and often references his favorite series such as Cowboy Bebop, Yuyu Hakusho, Samurai Champloo & Naruto in his imaginative wordplay. While attending New York City College of Technology, CUNY, he and a close friend formed a Rap trio called Original Weird Negus (OGWN) that featured 3 artists well versed in graphic design, music production and photography. After 5 years of releasing groundbreaking tracks and visuals, Diverze decided it was time to create his own body of work. Thus bringing us here, to the beginning of his journey as a solo artist.
