chuck bettis and dafna naphtali, have been performing together for 14 years, juxtaposing and combining their distinct electronic worlds and voices into visceral and highly reactive improvised sets verging on transcommunication. "chatter blip", their first release in 2013 (now their band name), is an interstellar multi-character audio operetta consisting of electro-acoustic sci-fi human, alien, and machine voices. now in 2020 they unveil; "microcosmopolitan", a journey in the other direction to the inner world of one-celled self-centered organisms, imagining their congregation of meanings and inner dialogues. the duo of chuck bettis and dafna naphtali (aka chatter blip) are explorers of esoteric narratives that serve as fractals of micro-questions more commonly explored internally (intrapersonally?), thus leading to their recent foray (/vector?) into an underworld of nefarious, cocktail sipping, one-celled organisms. having returned from their intergalactic space opera, it is only logical that they co-mingle with the microbes in order to convey the true story of the microcosmopolitan.
