As a recording artist, Sigel's break came in 2005 through release of his smooth jazz/electronica album, "Milky Way Soul". The album received global radio airplay and acclaim. Over 15 years Sigel's compositional style has evolved towards Soul/R&B genres. Jonathan's LP CD 'Hard Water' in 2014 featured Chick Corea sax alum Eric Marienthal. As a composer/musician (trumpet and keyboards), his career has taken him across the globe, headlining at the Copenhagen and Montreal Jazz Festivals. Early in his career Jonathan was musical director of jazz/show and Latin band horn sections in New York City, was featured in the Chico O'Farrill Afro-Cuban Orchestra at Birdland, and starred in the soundtracks of two Abel Ferrara-directed films. A series of Jonathan's original, digital releases have followed in slow-drip fashion from 2017-20, featuring his horn and keyboard work - performed by musical collaborators drawn from the top echelon of musical artists in the U.S. today. Jonathan is currently based in South Florida.
