Elsa is a folksinger and songwriter based in Stockholm, Sweden. She has collaborated with bands such as the Fleshquartet and folk duo My Bubba. Now she releases her debut EP: Forest Songs. Elsa started creating her own songs after the birth of her first child and the emerging need to make music out of her experiences as a new mother. Inspired by the surrounding woods where she lives, the music takes place in the forest: in a meadow, in the moss or deep down in the soil. With a raw and intimate voice and a myriad of stringed instruments like banjo and ukulele, she creates a unique sound with hints of swedish folk, indie and americana.
