Bright, colourful, and brilliant, Lucy Gallant has been gracing audiences with her bohemian indie-pop for more than a decade. Anchored in folk-roots yet fiercely original, experimental, and avant-garde, the British-born songstress has been hailed as one of the most talented indie artists on the global circuit. Her multicultural heritage is eclectically reflected in Lucy's craft. A multi-instrumentalist she produces high-energy rhythms on the Cajón, while simultaneously singing and playing guitar, drums, and chimes. Her Burmese, Russian, Irish and Australian roots inspire genre-blended tunes and her unique voice soars with rhapsodic range, conveying a full spectrum of emotion. Having toured the USA, South and Central America, Japan, Australia, UK, and much of Europe, she has dazzled audiences at both intimate venues and major festivals such as Glastonbury Festival (UK), Beautiful Days (UK), Art Basel (US) and Australia’s largest music festivals, Splendour in the Grass, Woodford Folk Festival and Byron Bay Bluesfest. Lucy’s nomadic heart enticed her to a life on the road in her early teens. Starting with a hitchhiking tour of Australia, she then embarked on a wild pilgrimage to more than 50 countries around the world. She traveled on horseback through Brazil, camped with Bedouin tribes in Egypt, and stayed with families on Indian reserves. Her lust for freedom and adventure has influenced her worldly musical style, creating a tropical flavour.
